A seamless Renovation Experience
Hyve is proud to announce the completion of the full interior renovation of Vessi’s newly reimagined Metrotown retail store, marking a major milestone for the Vancouver-based footwear and apparel brand.
The project involved a complete transformation of Vessi’s customer-facing retail environment, introducing a fresh, open layout that reflects the brand’s Pacific Northwest roots and connection to water — a theme captured in a custom mural by local artist Tyler Keeton Robins.
To maintain uninterrupted service during construction, Hyve Construction built a temporary pop-up shop, allowing Vessi to continue serving customers throughout the renovation period.
Immersive, Interactive, and Customer-Centered Design
The renovated space — which opened to the public today — features a first-of-its-kind Media Transparent Mesh LED Display, a cutting-edge visual technology developed by Alberta-based company BoomBright. This dynamic installation seamlessly blends digital storytelling with real-world transparency, allowing shoppers to see into the store through a sleek LED surface that can display vivid 2D and 3D visuals.
The new Metrotown store invites customers to fully experience Vessi’s innovative waterproof footwear and apparel. Shoppers can now test products in interactive “water zones”, featuring shallow blue testing stations that let them see the waterproof technology in action.
